“I want to eroticize time, consciousness, and human culture” - Baldessari Burlesque makes your heart flutter, gives your giggle muscle a work-out, and sets your loins on fire. It is striptease, theatre, physical comedy, politics, and performance art, all rolled into one... with a big, fat, sparkly bow tied around it. My Burlesque performance takes inspiration from the circus, archetypal characters, high fashion, and the nuances of beauty we find everyday. It is conscious of mime, athleticism, classical dance, fabric, the cultural references in music, gender performance and comedic timing. I like to take the beautiful and timeless elements of this art form and add a touch of the strange and laughable. Through the medium of burlesque Lady Josephine creates witty, beautiful, and provocative performance pieces.

Josephine brought home the award for “Most Beautiful” act at this year’s Great Boston Burlesque Expo! She has brought her art to stages across North America and performs monthly with the Blood Ballet Cabaret in Montreal.
